This neighbouring hotel has a small playground featuring a big play-ship with a slide and climbing ropes as well as various small seesaws.
Outside the bathing season, the playground – one of the largest in Central Switzerland – is open free-of-charge to the public. Watch your children’s eyes light up! This generously laid out children’s playground is ideal for relaxation and play.

Lido bathing beach, Seebad on the prestigious Nationalquai and Hallenbad Allmend
A sandy beach extending for 300 metres along the shore of Lake Lucerne.
The sunbathing lawn is the same length and separated from the beach by a footpath. There are many other relaxing spots at the lido. There is a heated pool if the lake is too cool for bathing.
Lucerne’s lakeside facility offers seasonal bathing in the very heart of town. Located on the prestigious Nationalquai, immediately in front of historic hotel buildings, visitors can enjoy a refreshing dip in the clean lake, keep fit and relax on the sunny roof terrace as well as in the shade. Uncomplicated catering and a bar are available. The public bath is open daily in summer months until 8.00 p.m. for bathing and until later for dining. Other services such as massage, yoga, etc. are available.
This public, open-air bathing beach is in easy reach of the railway station.
A lively crowd gathers there on sunny days to swim and sunbathe. Sports activities such as football, frisbee, volleyball, table tennis and badminton are also possible.
With 1,000 m2 of water spread over five pools, the new indoor swimming complex at Lucerne’s Allmend offers a lot of fun for everyone. Best of all: from each of the pools, you can enjoy a fantastic view of Mount Pilatus and the Alps beyond!

Goldau nature park and Toni’s Zoo
This unique natural landscape of bizarre beauty is a superb recreation area for families and provides animals with appropriate living conditions. Over 34 hectares of unspoiled nature, visitors get close-up views of bears, wolves, lynx, various species of deer and birds of prey. No matter what time of year, Goldau Nature Park and Zoo has a lot to offer visitors of all ages. Extensive, uncordoned areas, picnic areas, guided tours, attractive exhibitions and much more encourage active encounters between humans and animals. 365 days a year!
Located in rural Rothenburg, Toni’s Zoo has approx. 480 animals representing 96 species. A zoo that is beautifully maintained where you can stroll, relax, gaze and admire. A zoo with something for everyone – whatever their age.
Fun & Action at Fräkmüntegg
Balancing acts in the rope park: the Pilatus Rope Park is just the thing for anyone with a head for heights. A fun challenge for young adventurers and the young at heart seeking thrills and spills. Central Switzerland’s largest rope park incorporates ten trails ranging from easy to challenging, each with between six and eleven stations.
The spectacular descent on Switzerland’s longest summer toboggan run begins close to the Fräkmüntegg cable-car station. The numerous twists, turns and “dragon’s dens” (tunnels!) along the 1,350-metre stainless steel run promise both speed and adrenaline-packed fun.
